Amirite (lot 21) topped the ThoroughBid July Sale when selling for £30,000 to Jerry McGrath on Friday.
The 10-year-old gelding participated in the 2026 Grand National, and was also placed in the 2025 Topham. Bound for the yard of Chris Gordon, he was consigned by Henry de Bromhead.
Gordon said, “He's a ten-year-old who's been there and done that, and my client wanted a Saturday horse to go out and have some fun days with. It's hard to buy a 140-rated horse, so we can go for some really nice days with him.”
Overall, 15 lots sold from 31 offered (48%) for a gross of £117,500. The average was £7,833 and the median was £5,500.
